Bob Hanson, GISP

Senior Vice President and Practice Lead, Geospatial Information Technologies (GIT)

Mr. Hanson is Senior Vice President and Practice Lead, Geospatial Information Technologies (GIT) for Michael Baker International. He is responsible for the technical planning and managerial performance for all of the company’s GIT projects and services. 

Mr. Hanson’s qualifications include over 28 years in implementation, execution, and management of Geographic Information Systems, Cadastral Systems, Facilities Mapping and Building Information Modeling projects. Mr. Hanson has over 25 years of experience in digital programs associated with photogrammetric and LiDAR derived landbase and other techniques of base map preparation. Previously, he was Project Manager and Vice President for Geographic Information Systems at Geonex Corporation where he was responsible for overseeing all GIS projects conducted at the firm.

Mr. Hanson holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida. He is a certified GIS professional. He now actively serves on the National Board of Directors of the Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors (MAPPS), Pennsylvania Charter. Mr. Hanson’s is also a member of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS), Geographic Information Science Certification Institute (GSIP), and Geospatial Information and Technology Association (GITA).
