Scott Roux, P.E., S.E. (HI)

Senior Vice President and Practice Lead, Bridge

Mr. Roux is Senior Vice President and National Practice Lead, Bridge for Michael Baker International. He is responsible for the implementation of Michael Baker’s strategic direction for the bridge practice and works in collaboration with the regional bridge and management teams to ensure solid growth and performance across the national practice.

Mr. Roux brings more than 20 years of experience in the design, construction and inspection of bridges. Throughout his career, he has designed more than 200 bridges for various public transportation authorities, both domestic and international, and has conducted load ratings and visual inspections for dozens of bridges as well. His experience also includes concept development, design build, construction engineering and contract administration for various bridge projects.

Mr. Roux’s previous leadership positions include Vice President, U.S. Operations at COWI North America; President & Managing Director at Jenny Engineering Corporation and Director of U.S. Operations at Buckland & Taylor (both of which are wholly-owned subsidiaries of COWI); and Operations Leader and Senior Bridge Engineer at CH2M.

He is on the Board of Directors for the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) in the state of Washington and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society.

Mr. Roux earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of British Columbia. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business.
