Senior Vice President and Regional Director of the Northeast Region

Michael Brescia, P.E., is Senior Vice President and Regional Director of Michael Baker International’s Northeast Region, which includes New York, New Jersey and all New England states. He is responsible for overseeing all engineering, business, marketing, and financial operations for the region. 

Mr. Brescia has extensive experience spanning over 32 years in all modes of infrastructure engineering with a specialty in bridge design and rehabilitation as well as construction management. He has served as Principal in Charge on numerous complex infrastructure projects, most recently, including the NJ Route 52 Causeway ($400M), the CTfastrak Busway in Hartford, Connecticut ($600M) and the Amtrak Hudson Line Rail Improvement Project in Albany, NY ($200M). Mike has a balance of field and design experience and works closely with project owners in developing thoughtful contract packaging that promotes competitive bidding in a claim free project environment with clear expectations for scope, schedule and construction budget.

Mr. Brescia holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and additional studies in Structural Engineering from City College. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Board positions on the American Counsel of Engineering Companies- NJ and the New Jersey Organization for a Better State.
