Firm Recognized for Legacy of Trust and High Standard of Ethical Business Conduct
Michael Baker International’s commitment to ethical conduct recently earned the firm recognition at the Pittsburgh Business Ethics Awards (PBEA). The company was named as a finalist with two other local corporations and received the Large Company Award during the 16th
Annual PBEA Luncheon.
The award program was presented by the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and co-presented by the David Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership at the University of Pittsburgh, the Rotary Club of Pittsburgh, and the Allegheny Conference on Community Development. This award honors U.S. companies that demonstrate a firm commitment to ethical practices in their everyday operations, philosophies and in response to crises and challenges.
Michael Baker earned the award based on its strong legacy of trust that has allowed the company to grow and prosper around the world for more than 76 years. A high standard of ethical conduct defines who we are, how we conduct our business, how we treat our clients and employees, and how we serve our communities. This is instilled in team members through leadership and ethics training, understanding of the company’s Code of Business Conduct and reinforcing the company’s ethical values in year-long communications efforts. Michael Baker also prides itself on how it conducts business with clients, building long-term relationships based on good ethical behavior, integrity and trust.
