Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
The World Market Center is the largest and most comprehensive convention complex in the world for the home and hospitality furnishings industry, serving domestic and international sellers and buyers. Host to the famous Las Vegas Market, a major trade show held twice a year, the Center delivers a dynamic new experience for the industry with fully integrated, state-of-the-art permanent showrooms and temporary exhibit space. Juxtaposed buildings in strong geometric forms create a new iconic landmark for Las Vegas, which will serve as the cornerstone for downtown redevelopment. The Center is estimated to provide more than $60 million in annual local and state tax revenues, attract nearly 2 million new visitors to the City, and add 35,000 new jobs. Upon final completion, the complex will encompass eight buildings totaling 12 million square feet, complemented with outdoor water features, courtyards, and enclosed skywalks connecting buildings. Completed to date are Building A (10-story, 1.3 million square feet), Building B (16-story, 1.6 million square feet) and Building C (16-story, 2.1 million square feet). Also completed is a $60 million, seven-story parking garage with 3,600 spaces. Executive Architect services were provided for all phases, collaborating with an associate architect for design.
