Third-Party Recruiter Policy

Michael Baker International prefers to recruit candidates directly rather than through a third-party recruiter or agency.  However, we value our existing external vendors where we initiate a search to identify talent for open positions.  We will not consider paying a fee for candidates submitted or presented to us unsolicited unless there is a signed Master Service Agreement (MSA) in place between Michael Baker International and the recruiter or agency for a specific job opening.  In the case of a candidate(s) submitted or presented to Michael Baker International by a recruiter or agency without a signed agreement in place or without a specific available job opening, Michael Baker International reserves the right to pursue and hire those candidates without any financial obligation to the recruiter or agency.  In addition, directly contacting hiring managers for any reason is strictly prohibited and a violation of Michael Baker International’s vendor policy.  Michael Baker International has an annual review process where we analyze our existing external search partners and consider new search vendors to join our preferred list.
