The 185,000-square-foot National Museum of the United States Army will sit on 84 acres at Fort Belvoir in Virginia. It is designed to exhibit 15,000 works of art and 30,000 artifacts that honor United States Soldiers – past, present and future. The museum will welcome an anticipated 500,000 to 700,000 visitors annually to celebrate nearly 250 years of history.
A grand lobby, theater, exhibition galleries, interactive learning center, café, rooftop garden and administrative areas will support the museum. The master plan of the museum’s 84-acre site features a memorial garden, 200-seat amphitheater, parade field, grandstand and trail.
