Alaska
The Alaska Gasline Development Corporation (AGDC) is studying a natural gas pipeline designed to deliver natural gas from the North Slope to south-central Alaska where it will provide gas for in-state use and potentially for export as liquified natural gas. The project will ultimately provide a more reliable, cost-effective, long-term energy solution for many Alaskan communities.
AGDC selected Michael Baker to manage preliminary civil and pipeline engineering for the proposed route. For the past four years, we have provided technical support to develop and finalize the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The final EIS was published in the summer of 2018.

“Once built, the Alaska Gas Pipeline will provide much needed benefits to Alaskan residents, including the creation of thousands of jobs during the construction phase of the project and increasing overall energy supply and security.”
