Pittsburgh (August 7, 2014) - Michael Baker Engineering, Inc., a unit of Michael Baker International, has announced the appointment of Charles Flowe, P.E., to Office Executive in the company’s Cary, N.C. location as part of a strategic reorganization. Flowe will oversee offices in Charlotte, Greensboro and Asheville, N.C., and provide unified local leadership and clients with a broader range of services. Flowe’s appointment is directly related to the high demand, growing need and opportunity for expanded engineering, planning, construction management, intelligence, technology and related services within this region.
“Charlie coming on board to lead our North Carolina operations allows Baker International to continue its plan to grow within the Mid-Atlantic region with core and new technology services,” stated Dave Thompson, P.E., Michael Baker International Mid-Atlantic Regional Director, Senior Vice President. “We look forward to Charlie utilizing his strong leadership capabilities and long term relationships, being a huge asset for Baker’s Mid-Atlantic region.”
Charles Flowe is an experienced transportation professional with 38 years of experience in the planning, design, and management of major infrastructure projects throughout the eastern United States. In addition to Flowe’s excellent credentials, he is currently the National Secretary for the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) and has recently been elected to the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) North Carolina Board of Directors for a two-year term beginning July 1, 2014.
