Pittsburgh (March 28, 2017) - Michael Baker International, a global leader in engineering, planning and consulting services today announced that Elese (Lisa) Roger has joined the firm as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. She will be based in the firm’s Pittsburgh headquarters and will report to Michael Baker CEO, Brian A. Lutes.
As a member of the executive leadership team, Ms. Roger will align her department’s skills and capabilities to make sure the most cost-efficient and effective technological solutions are delivered to Michael Baker. She also will evaluate the adoption of newer, innovative technology solutions.
“Lisa brings to Michael Baker the skills of an astute business technology advisor and strategic acumen which are essential, considering the increasing role technology plays in enabling us to serve our clients with innovative problem solving,” said Mr. Lutes. “As Michael Baker continues to broaden its information technology (IT) strategies and incorporate best-in-class practices for both internal and external customers, Lisa’s experience and expertise will further position Michael Baker to leverage technology trends and ensure We Make a Difference through effective enterprise program management.”
Ms. Roger is an innovative and accomplished IT professional with more than 25 years of experience leading teams and developing technology solutions that drive business growth. Previously, she served as Vice President of Technology Services for SC3, where she led large IT-related programs for the company’s Technology Solutions division and provided strategic direction to establish a cyber capability for the firm.
At Leidos, Ms. Roger held roles of increasing responsibility. As Vice President of Commercial Cyber Security/Operations Manager, she established a new operation that incorporated five commercial cyber lines of business with varying levels of maturity and was recognized for her work combining cyber services with the company’s healthcare business. As Vice President of the company’s Federal Information Technology Solutions division, she was responsible for contracts and the division’s growth, which included overseeing two startup IDIQs. As Assistant Vice President of the Language Services division, she managed more than 15 language contracts and a portfolio that included fee, staffing, safety and security functions.

Ms. Roger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pa. She also completed Rethink Innovation for CTOs, a Harvard Business School executive course.
