Pittsburgh (January 17, 2017) - Michael Baker International, a global leader in engineering, planning and consulting services, today announced that Beth Steimle, P.E., has joined the firm as Vice President and Office Executive in Tampa, Fla. In this role, Ms. Steimle will support the office’s expansion through the growth of a balanced portfolio of clients and the addition of new markets and capabilities, bringing the full range of the firm’s expertise to the region to support projected billion-dollar design-build projects. She also will oversee office personnel and manage the day-to-day operations of 26 team members.
Ms. Steimle brings to Michael Baker 15 years of experience in engineering with a special focus in the transportation industry. She excels in the creation of high-quality solutions that are delivered on time and on budget. Her expertise extends to design-build-finance projects, contract management, bridge engineering and rehabilitation, roadway improvement, post-design services and budget planning.

Previously, Ms. Steimle served as an associate vice president of T.Y. Lin International in Tampa where she was responsible for managing the largest design-build-finance project in District 6 with construction costs estimated at $800 million.
Ms. Steimle earned a Master of Science degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University.
