Michael Baker International Names Scott Thornsberry, P.E., Office Executive – Little Rock

Mr. Thornsberry to lead office operations, new business efforts and project execution

PITTSBURGH (May 13, 2025) – Michael Baker International, a global leader in engineering, consulting and advisory services, today announced that the firm has promoted Scott Thornsberry, P.E., to Office Executive – Little Rock. In this role, Mr. Thornsberry will lead the office by overseeing its daily operations, deepening client and industry engagement, driving new business development, expanding services, elevating project execution and fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

Mr. Thornsberry has 29 years of industry experience leading project management, design, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) for transportation projects in Arkansas, including many years designing and managing projects for the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT). During his 12 years with Michael Baker as Department Manager – Transportation, he has overseen the successful delivery of over 60 projects for ARDOT, including design services for highway interchanges, signalized intersections, roadway widening, pavement preservation, bridge preservation, bridge retrofits, bridge inspection and bridge replacements. He also has experience with DOTs in Texas and Georgia. Earlier in his career, Mr. Thornsberry spent 17 years with Garver as a Project Manager and several years with the Austin Engineering Company as a Testing Technician.

Mr. Thornsberry is an active member of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) and The Little Rock Engineer’s Club. He also serves on the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)/ARDOT Liaison Committee. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
