Pittsburgh (May 11, 2017) - Michael Baker International, a global leader in engineering, planning and consulting services, today announced that Jeff Clevenger, P.E., has been promoted to Senior Vice President and National Practice Lead, Design-Build. In this role, he will spearhead the firm’s design-build operations and guide the application of Michael Baker’s full continuum of services nationwide.

Based in Michael Baker’s Denver office, Mr. Clevenger brings more than 30 years of experience in design-build delivery, program and construction management, planning, and design, and the successful execution of several of Colorado’s largest highway, urban transit and infrastructure projects to his new role. He also will drive the implementation of strategic business development plans to expand the firm’s design-build practice to capitalize on new market opportunities and manage client relationships.

“Jeff’s design-build expertise and leadership are valuable assets as the firm continues to support nationwide infrastructure development and enhancement,” said Bonnie Shepherd, Michael Baker Executive Vice President and Chief Practice Officer. “With the rapid growth of the design-build sector in the building industry, Jeff’s promotion reaffirms Michael Baker’s commitment to pursue innovative and collaborative alternative delivery projects and to identify solutions that efficiently address client needs.”

Previously, Mr. Clevenger worked as a program director, where he developed recommendations to streamline the Colorado Department of Transportation’s $900 million per year capital improvement program. He also worked as a managing principal where he oversaw client relations, contract negotiations, project staffing and budgets, and quality reviews of project deliverables for a large program and construction management group.

Mr. Clevenger is a licensed Professional Engineer and a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Colorado and the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA).

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Business Administration in Public Management and Finance from the University of Colorado, in Boulder.
