Project Panther – A Maxter Healthcare Manufacturing Facility

Maxter Healthcare, a subsidiary of the global PPE manufacturing leader Supermax Healthcare, added a new 215-acre campus in Brazoria County, Texas. This design-build project was the company’s 18th manufacturing plant worldwide (and its first in the United States). The facility leverages advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic engineering to deliver a truly state-of-the-art manufacturing plant.

Due to the extensive project scope (and its scale across eight buildings), Maxter engaged ARCO/Murray and its family of companies for consulting, design and general contracting. Further support from ARCO was serviced by their over 30 U.S. offices. ARCO has been historically known as a top builder for warehouse and distribution space, and the team from Michael Baker was excited to work in conjunction with Graves Mechanical, a key subcontractor on the ARCO/Murray team.

Collaborating with Graves Mechanical, the Michael Baker team designed the mechanical systems for Buildings 3, 4 and 5, which contained offices, maintenance and distribution areas. The stringent design for these buildings met the owner’s detailed requirements for this technology-forward facility.
