Kuraray Americas Office

Michael Baker provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) design as well as construction administration (CA) services for the renovation of Kuraray America’s office space in Houston, Texas. The tenant improvement of its current office space included extensive upgrades to the lobby, all offices, conference rooms, a breakroom and an IT room.

The scope of work encompassed the design of heating, ventilation and air conditioned (HVAC) systems, including ductwork and air distribution devices integrated within the building’s existing mechanical infrastructure. Michael Baker’s plumbing engineering team provided design services such as new cold-water and hot-water piping, as well as sanitary and vent systems to support the breakroom.

In addition to design, the Michael Baker team provided CA services for CDI Douglass Pye to ensure systems were installed in alignment with Kuraray’s vision to deliver an updated, functional and efficient workplace environment.
