Alex Vickers serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Michael Baker International. In this role, Mr. Vickers leads the firm’s enterprise strategic planning framework, refining market focus and guiding the translation of the company’s long‑term vision into decisive priorities, investments and actions that drive long‑term value creation.
As Michael Baker advances its vision to become a technology‑driven engineering and consulting firm of the future—guided by its commitment to Technology, Differentiation and Innovation (TDI) and powered by a growing ecosystem of digital platforms and AI‑enabled capabilities—Mr. Vickers partners with leaders across the company to shape a data‑driven view of the firm’s business landscape, identify opportunities for scalable growth and strengthen Michael Baker’s ability to deliver differentiated value for clients.
Prior to Joining Michael Baker, Mr. Vickers was part of Boston Consulting Group’s (BCG) Travel, Cities & Infrastructure (TCI) practice, where he advised clients on organizational strategy, operating model design and the execution of complex transformation agendas and large capital programs. Earlier in his career with BCG, Mr. Vickers served as a Director and Chief of Staff across multiple TCI business lines, partnering closely with senior leadership to drive strategy, oversee operations and support growth initiatives across global markets. Prior to BCG, Mr. Vickers was a Structural Engineer with WSP, performing design engineering on large infrastructure projects for numerous U.S. state and local agencies.
