David Liebgold, P.E., P.P.

David Liebgold is an expert in traffic engineering and intelligent transportation systems (ITS). As National Practice Lead for Michael Baker International’s Traffic/ITS Practice, he coordinates discipline initiatives and maximizes opportunities across the company’s offices and regions.

David has more than 20 years of industry experience managing complex transportation projects, with  expertise in traffic engineering and operations, ITS, security design, advanced systems communications, construction management and transportation planning. Since joining Michael Baker in 2015, he has played an integral role in ITS projects for Newark Liberty International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport in New Jersey and New York, as well as numerous Traffic and ITS corridor projects for NJDOT, NYSDOT and PANYNJ. He also serves as Office Executive of Michael Baker’s Newark, New Jersey, office.

David serves as a board member for the Intelligent Transportation Society of New Jersey (ITS-NJ) and is actively involved in industry organizations through membership with the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITSA). He was named a finalist for Michael Baker’s 2019 Chairman’s Award, the company’s highest honor.
