Edward Hanbicki serves as the Principal Market Director at Michael Baker for the Pacific Northwest and Southwest regions. In this role, Mr. Hanbicki is responsible for leading market growth initiatives, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects. These responsibilities include developing and driving the implementation of strategic business plans to expand the Integrated Design and Advisory Practice. Mr. Hanbicki’s ability to lead complex programs to successful completion, engage diverse stakeholders and foster professional development among his team members underscores his strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
Mr. Hanbicki’s leadership is characterized by a collaborative approach to business development, fostering strong client relationships and promoting innovative design and sustainability practices across all phases of project delivery. Past leadership positions include his roleat Jacobs Engineering, where he served as Operations Leader of Cities and Places. There, Mr. Hanbicki managed a line of business and contributed to the growth of the Pacific Northwest Region. This role required collaboration with executive leadership and sales teams to develop effective business strategies and project team structures. Prior, Mr. Hanbicki was the Architectural Group Leader for the Federal group in the Pacific Northwest, managing a team of architects and designers while overseeing quality and project assignments.
Mr. Hanbicki has extensive experience in managing large, complex programs across various sectors, including architecture, interiors, program management, project management and construction management. His project portfolio includes aviation, corporate headquarters, hospitality, government and retail projects.
He provided significant contributions to the Port of Seattle’s S – Concourse and NorthSTAR Programs, where Mr. Hanbicki managed the renovation of the terminals while ensuring operational continuity. He also led the design and construction of multiple manufacturing facilities for a confidential client, overseeing the development of three major buildings.
Mr. Hanbicki directs project strategy, client engagement and team development, leveraging his extensive expertise to deliver high-value solutions that align with client goals and industry standards.
