John spent 20 years in progressive leadership positions in the Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps and today is a trusted advisor to Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command personnel. Upon retiring from the Navy in 2010, John joined the AEC industry as a Project Director of East Coast operation for a large Construction firm delivering design build projects to USACE and NAVFAC across the mid-west, mid-atlantic and southeast regions. Since joining Michael Baker in 2017, John has been instrumental in leading the capture efforts on major design-build programs. Similarly, for the earthquake recovery program under NAVFAC Southwest’s cognizance, Michael Baker led the design on two large MILCON procurements for more than 10 new buildings and $500M of construction at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake supporting their Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) mission.
