Nate Brown, P.E.

Nate Brown, P.E., is the Sector Lead for Defense and Industrial at Michael Baker. He supports Michael Baker’s Integrated Design and Advisory vertical in pursuing work in markets using a local and regional seller-doer approach with concentration in technically complex projects. 

Mr. Brown holds more than two decades of experience delivering multi-million-dollar programs to large-scale industrial and manufacturing clients, including Lockheed Martin, Halliburton, ExxonMobil and Chevron. Mr. Brown has overseen more than $500 million worth of facilities in infrastructure construction throughout the United States. He is familiar with the execution of complex design-build and traditional design-bid-build contracts, where he is responsible for overall program development, financial management, personnel supervision, and oversight of design and construction of multiple tasks. Mr. Brown’s leadership has consistently resulted in significant operational growth and revenue increases for his clients. 

Under his previous employer, Mr. Brown managed client relationships and expanded services and agreements. Prior to joining our team, Mr. Brown was the dedicated contract executive, providing oversight for multiple defense contractor clients and programs at Jacobs, where he directed, coordinated, and administered more than $150 million in construction to modernize existing Lockheed Martin facilities. Under Michael Baker, he uses these skills to help expand our services to include environmentally friendly materials and assist clients in meeting their sustainability goals. 

Mr. Brown managed multiple programs for the TSA, receiving the Eye of the Eagle Award for outstanding support in fulfilling the Aviation and Transportation Act. With this background of excellence, Mr. Brown continues to serve a variety of clients to determine the best building systems to be utilized on a project-specific basis to provide economy and strength. His experience provides Michael Baker with a project executive who has direct industry expertise administering all aspects of projects and assures Michael Baker’s resources are available to support our clients’ missions.
