Valorie Hargett

Valorie Hargett is a seasoned business development executive with nearly 30 years of experience driving growth and innovation across architecture, engineering and strategic consulting in both public and private sectors. As Vice President of Business Development for Michael Baker International’s Integrated Design and Advisory (IDA) group, she leads market expansion across the Northwest, Southwest and California regions, fostering client relationships and advancing industry engagement for private sector clients.

Michael Baker’s IDA Practice combines world-class architecture and engineering with forward-thinking advisory services to deliver holistic solutions aligned with client objectives. This integrated approach spans disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural and fire protection (MEP+S+FP) engineering, architecture and planning—complemented by strategic consulting in cybersecurity, cost management, commissioning, program management, digital twins and energy resilience.

Before joining Michael Baker, Ms. Hargett served as Vice President of Business Development for Jensen Hughes’ Rocky Mountain Region, where she drove growth for a global leader in fire protection engineering and risk-based consulting. Her efforts built strategic partnerships across sectors, including industrial, healthcare, life sciences and higher education.

Previously, Ms. Hargett spent 16 years with Jacobs, progressing from Director and Senior Consultant in the Advance Planning Group to Americas Sales Lead for Foreseeable Solutions™—an integrated solutions practice for highly complex projects. She held leadership roles in sales, consulting, and operations across U.S. and international markets, including Saudi Arabia, New Zealand and South Korea. Earlier in her career, she served as Vice President and Director of Workplace Strategies for AECOM and co-founded designAlliance, a design and consulting firm later acquired by AECOM.

Recognized for her strategic vision, global perspective and ability to deliver value-driven solutions, Ms. Hargett brings a unique blend of multidisciplinary expertise and client-focused leadership to advance integrated design and advisory services. Her leadership philosophy is rooted in a “people first” approach—building and cultivating high-performance teams and cultures where individuals are motivated and inspired to achieve more than they imagined possible.

Ms. Hargett holds a bachelor of science degree in Interior Architecture from Colorado State University, underscoring her deep foundation in design and her commitment to creating innovative, client-centered solutions.
