Ms. Thamizharasan joins Michael Baker as an accomplished transportation professional who has successfully led strategic initiatives involving emerging technologies and managed programs across both public and private sectors. She most recently served as Associate Vice President for AECOM and was previously Director of Advance Project Development in the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Austin District. Earlier in her career, Ms. Thamizharasan was Senior Project Manager for CDM Smith and Senior Transportation Project Engineer for Tetra Tech.
Ms. Thamizharasan earned a Master of Science degree in Transportation Engineering from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Madras (India).

He will support the Mid-Atlantic Region and the firm’s Bridge and Transportation Practices by advancing growth strategies, ensuring project delivery excellence and driving collaboration across offices and geographies to bring the best talent to every project. Mr. Hathaway hasspent 23 years with Michael Baker, bringing strong technical expertise and proven client-facing operational leadership to his new role. He most recently served as Office Executive for North Carolina. Mr. Hathaway is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina (ACEC/NC) and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). He earned a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering – Structures, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University.
In his role of Office Executive for North Carolina, Mr. Gray will lead the firm’s operations throughout North Carolina, where there are offices located in Asheville, Cary, Charlotte and Greensboro. He will drive growth, strengthen client engagement, expand service lines and deepen relationships with current partners. He will also proactively identify and pursue new opportunities that support Michael Baker’s long-term growth strategy across North Carolina and the Mid-Atlantic Region and coordinate efforts to bring the full expertise of the firm to clients and communities in the state.
Mr. Gray joined Michael Baker from ms consultants, where he has served as Vice President/Regional Director since 2017. Previously, he was the Chief Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer for NCDOT. He holds a Master of Science degree in Accountancy and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Wofford College.

Led by U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, the Beautifying Transportation Infrastructure Council advises on policies, designs and funding priorities that beautify transportation infrastructure, including highways, bridges and transit hubs, while maintaining safety and efficiency. The seven-member council provides recommendations and guidance supporting the U.S. Department of Transportation’s commitment to enhancing the visual quality, community integration and overall experience of the nation’s transportation infrastructure. As a Council Member, Mr. Quintanilla will identify best practices, develop aesthetic performance metrics and advise on projects that enhance public spaces and reflect local character.

Mr. Quintanilla has 27 years of experience in architecture, urban design and planning and currently leads Michael Baker’s Design Hub, which convenes the firm’s in-house expertise in urban design, environmental responsibility, mobility and community-based planning to deliver innovative and integrated solutions that build more livable communities. He specializes in master planning, community engagement and creating public spaces that strengthen neighborhood identity while integrating essential infrastructure.
Mr. Quintanilla’s portfolio spans projects of all scales across both national and international markets. Notable work includes the design of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission Sideling Hill Service Plaza Trailhead in Fulton County, Pennsylvania, as well as the design of Central Park in East Palestine, Ohio, where he collaborated with freight railroad operator Norfolk Southern, city officials and residents. He also led the transformation of Lincoln Square in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, expanding pedestrian space while preserving the area’s historic character and adding safe crosswalks.
Internationally, Mr. Quintanilla served nearly five years as Director of Design for the Prince’s Foundation for Building Communities in England, under the auspices of the Prince of Wales (now His Majesty the King). He managed projects in Jamaica, China, Korea, Ecuador and the UK, including the redesign of ShiJia Hutong in Beijing, China, into a museum and the Galapagos Initiative, where he drafted form-based codes for the most populated town, created a sustainable water recycling solution and redesigned streets to accommodate tourists, bicycles and cars in the Galapagos, Ecuador.
Mr. Quintanilla holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Miami. He is on the Executive Committee of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, a board member of the City of Pittsburgh Planning Commission and Contextual Design Advisory Panel (CDAP) and Chair of the National Complete Streets Coalition.

As Assistant Director for the Arizona Joint Legislative Budget Committee, he was charged with oversight of the entire budget process. Earlier in his career, Mr. Jorgensen was Principal of ERJorgensen Consulting, where he provided data management and analysis solutions to diverse clients, from small local businesses to large multinational companies.
Mr. Jorgensen earned a Master of International Affairs degree in Economic Policy from the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Political Science from Brigham Young University.

He joined Michael Baker in 2009 as a Project Manager and has progressively grown his responsibilities and expertise, first as Land Development Manager, and most recently as Director of Land Development. Earlier in his career, he was a Civil Engineer and Project Manager for MS Consultants.
Mr. Neider is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers. He earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering from Youngstown State University.

Data center-focused industry leader and expert joins firm’s Integrated Design and Advisory business vertical
PITTSBURGH (January 22, 2026) – Michael Baker International, a global leader in engineering, consulting and technology services, today announced that Kevin Olsavsky, P.E., LEED AP, CDCP, has joined the firm’s Integrated Design and Advisory (IDA) business vertical as Mission Critical and Data Center Market Sector Leader. In this role, Mr. Olsavsky will lead the company’s engagement with Mission Critical and Data Center clients, providing access to the full continuum of solutions and services offered as One Michael Baker – both through the firm and its family of companies.
He will work to expand the company’s capabilities in project management, architecture, MEP, structural and fire protection engineering, planning, site selection, due diligence, cybersecurity consulting, commissioning, land development and environmental services. Additionally, Mr. Olsavsky will advance Michael Baker’s growing footprint in the Energy market, leveraging his experience with central utility plants and distribution systems—key components for mission critical facilities and data centers. Working across Michael Baker’s business verticals, he will collaborate closely with practice leaders, project delivery and engineering teams, marketing and business development to deliver comprehensive and innovative solutions.

Mr. Olsavsky brings three decades of experience to his new role at Michael Baker. Most recently, he served as one of the key Principals leading the Mission Critical and Data Center market at Jacobs Buildings and Infrastructure. In this role, he was responsible for business development, client relationships and key client accounts, negotiation of contracts, project delivery, team leadership and financial performance for mission critical, data center and energy projects.
Mr. Olsavsky earned a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree from Penn State University. He is a registered Professional Engineer and a TIA-942 Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP).
