Carr Lane Manufacturing Company

Michael Baker’s team provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design and commissioning services for Carr Lane Manufacturing Company’s 50,000-square-foot industrial warehouse within the Elgin Business Park III right outside of Austin, Texas, in the suburb of Elgin. This new, single-story, tilt-wall structure is designed to provide manufacturing space for metal parts, machining, material handling, associated production offices, employee amenities and manufacturing support. MEP-designed areas also included 5,000 square feet of office space alongside conference rooms, breakrooms and a shipping / receiving area.

Our team was called back post-construction to provide additional commissioning services for the entire facility. These services included full integration into the manufacturer-controlled rooftop air units (RTUs), customized building automation systems (BAS) graphics and sequence of operations (SOO) for the entire site. We worked closely with the developer, architect and other consultants to ensure that the designed systems integrated seamlessly with the new construction.
