Francis Parker Schools – Parker Forward (Phase 8)

Michael Baker provided electrical design-build services for the final phase of Francis Parker School’s Linda Vista Campus Master Plan. Our scope included electrical construction documents for power distribution, lighting systems and life safety infrastructure to support these new facilities. The design emphasized energy efficiency and reliability while integrating with the campus’s sustainable features, such as daylight optimization and natural ventilation.

The Parker Forward initiative introduced new facilities designed to enhance student life and athletic programs. Key components include the Douglas Aquatic Center, a 7,350-square-foot heated pool recessed into the site with 10 swim lanes and the Vassiliadis Athletic Center featuring a two-court gymnasium with seating for 1,100 spectators. The Silberman Student Life Center expansion added 30,000 square feet across two stories, creating spaces for student activities and events.

This $35 million project marked the completion of a two-decade capital improvement program focused on sustainability and innovative learning environments. Delivered in collaboration with Gensler, Level 10 Construction and OCMI, the improvements position the campus as a leading example of modern educational design.
