Southern Regional Practice Lead, Water
Mohamed Bagha is an expert in water resources engineering, including advanced hydrology and 1D, 2D and unsteady hydraulic model development for stormwater management and watershed planning. As Regional Practice Lead – Water for Michael Baker International’s Southern Region, he oversees a diverse array of water resources projects and pursuits for federal, state and municipal clients.
Mohamed has been an integral factor in many wins for the company, including the Westside Creeks Ecosystem Restoration Project in San Antonio, Texas, for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; the Louisiana Watershed Initiative modeling contracts; the TxDOT Houston District Hydrology & Hydraulics ID/IQ Contract; the Louisiana Dams and Spillway Improvements project; and the Vince Bayou Watershed Planning Study for Harris County Flood Control District.
Mohamed served for four years on the Texas Floodplain Management Association (TFMA) Board of Directors for Region 8, which includes 15 counties along the Gulf Coast and Harris County. He was also honored as a finalist for Michael Baker’s 2019 Chairman’s Award.
